Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools
The pools are divided into two main areas, the lower pool and the upper pool. The lower pool is the larger of the two and has a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. It is suitable for swimming and has a small area for children to play in. The upper pool is smaller and shallower, with a depth of just 0.5 meters. It is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing.
Both pools are surrounded by beautiful scenery, with views of the ocean and the surrounding mountains. The pools are also equipped with sun loungers, showers, and changing rooms for visitors to use.
Due to its popularity, the Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools can get crowded during peak season. It is recommended to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. Admission to the pools is free, making it an affordable and enjoyable activity for families and travelers.
